It is believed that in course of becoming a civil servant, the journey is more satisfying and exciting than the destination. At Rao’s coaching centre, this journey for me, is being very enriching and enjoyable. It is a pride for me to be learning from Rao sir, who is a retired IAS Officer himself. Sir comes with deep expertise in the subjects along with hands-on experience in the field. He turns normal classroom sessions into exciting discussions by bringing in anecdotes, current affairs, relevant examples and a few jokes once in a while. The study material provided by the coaching centre is prepared meticulously by referring to multiple sources. It covers all relevant topics given in the syllabus. It is easy to refer and the points are organised in such a way that, they can be retrieved easily. Sir also provides monthly current affairs. This compilation covers all the important news of the month, along with explanations of relevant concepts. The icing to the cake is the test series they provide. After covering a chapter, sir provides test series with every possible question on the topic. This is the most important step for an aspirant. It helps me understand where my learning stands and what I have missed out. Re-taking the test once in a while serves as a quick revision of the chapter. Overall, my learning journey with Rao’s Coaching Centre has been enlightening. Off classes, Rao sir is a mentor, a great counsellor and very friendly with his students.
